The RJE3 program is intended to develop human resources that play leading roles in creating a sustainable future that we all are looking forward to achieving. With the aim of invigorate and educate myself for the future through the intensive international and intercultural communication, I wanted to actively participate on the course of ‘Design school of Japan and Russia’ which was one of the memorable experiences of my academic life.

I had an incredible time at the forum ‘New Ideas of New Century’ over the course of three days arranged by the RJE3. The diversity of those presenting and attending is quite unique. Every participant’s presentation has a lot of useful information in it and were easy to follow. Through the lectures, I realized how intriguing and useful architectural design may be. I learned about the history of Japanese housing, how it evolved over time, and what it is today. I was able to perceive the steps of scientific design and importance of experimental as well as numerical analysis in urban design. Even though my research is focused on mechanical engineering, I find all of the stuff I’ve learned to be fascinating and beneficial to me as a researcher as well as a person.

In terms of my presentation, it was a great opportunity to present my study to all of the professors and students from various nations. I presented my work on static and dynamic fluid-structure interaction analysis for a slender column immersed in a channel flow of viscous fluid. Following my talk, some enthusiastic questions and comments were received by the scholars which sparked inspiration and rekindle passion.

The participation in the forum has contributed in broadening my research perspective and enrich my experience because the contents were of diverse range of study fields from both students and renowned scholars. I would like to express my gratitude to everyone attended as well as everyone engaged in the arranging this amazing program. I’m looking forward to continuing the teamwork and every kind of possible interactions with the scholars I met through this conference.
